# About OpenSpindle

OpenSpindle is shop management software for CNC and fabrication shops. Based in Austin, Texas.

OpenSpindle was built to solve a specific problem: custom fabrication shops were running their businesses on tools that were never designed for them. Spreadsheets for quoting. Whiteboards for scheduling. Email for customer communication. Separate apps for invoicing. The result was missed RFQs, surprise margin hits, and shop owners spending evenings rebuilding schedules that changed during the day.

OpenSpindle replaces the fragmented stack with one connected platform covering quoting, scheduling, production tracking, shop floor display, client communication, and invoicing -- at a flat monthly fee with no per-seat charges.
