### OD and ID cylindrical grinding

- Shafts, pins, bushings, and bearings ground to ±0.0001 in on OD
- ID grinding on hardened bores and ring IDs
- 4140, 52100, 4340, hardened tool steels (D2, A2), and stainless 17-4

### Surface grinding

## What a qualified grinding shop looks like

- **OD / ID cylindrical grinders:** Studer, Okamoto, Myford, or equivalent with CNC programmable positioning for repeatable features.
- **Surface grinders:** Reciprocating with 10" x 20" or larger table; rotary surface grinders a plus.
- **Centerless grinders:** Through-feed and in-feed capacity for production shaft work.
- **Inspection discipline:** Air gages, CMM, surface-finish profilometer, and reliable round-and-cylinder measurement.
- **Heat-treat relationships:** In-house or trusted vendor so hardened-then-ground parts come back on schedule.
- **Certifications:** ISO 9001 is enough for most; AS9100 opens aerospace; ISO 13485 opens medical implant/instrument grinding.

## What a grinding partner gets

- **Finish-side RFQs you would not see:** Many of our RFQs are for complete parts (milled + ground); without a grinding partner we subcontract piecemeal. With you, we route the finish work directly.
- **Realistic tolerance expectations:** We only route grinding RFQs where the drawing actually calls for it -- not misread ±0.0001 CAD errors.
- **Keep your own customers:** Our RFQs are new to your shop; we do not approach your existing accounts.
- **Pair with partner shops:** If a job needs milling at one shop and grinding at yours, we coordinate the handoff rather than making either shop quote the whole thing.
