Inconel and nickel-superalloy shops: the RFQs that break instant-quote engines
Inconel 625, 718, Hastelloy, Monel, Haynes, Invar — these alloys do not fit automated price engines, so hardware teams send them to us. If your shop is tooled and set up for superalloy work, we have the RFQs.
RFQs on the board
Superalloy work we are placing
Inconel 625 and 718
- Turbine, compressor, and heat-exchanger components for propulsion and energy
- Oilfield downhole hardware (NACE / sour-service documentation on request)
- 5-axis milled brackets, flanges, and manifolds in Inconel 718 heat-treated
Hastelloy C-276, X, and B
- Chemical-process components for the most aggressive acid service
- Reactor internals, pump wet-ends, and heat-exchanger plates
- Smaller shops that have run Hastelloy routinely are rare — tell us if that is you
Monel 400 and K-500
- Marine, naval, and seawater-service hardware
- Shafts, pump impellers, valve trim, and fasteners
Haynes 230, 282, and Invar 36
- High-temperature combustor and nozzle parts
- Thermally stable optical mounts and tooling in Invar 36
If you quote one of these alloys as a routine job (not a one-off experiment), tell us on your profile and we start sending matching RFQs this month.
What qualifies you
What a qualified superalloy shop looks like
- Rigid, HP machines
- Haas VF-SS, Mazak Variaxis, DMG Mori, Okuma, or equivalent. High torque, through-spindle coolant, and a rigid tooling library tuned for Ni-base alloys.
- Carbide and ceramic insert library
- Experience selecting grades for Inconel (positive geometry, high feed, modest DOC) and the SFM confidence to run it without workhardening.
- Heat treat experience
- Age-hardened Inconel 718 and Ti-6Al-4V workflows: solution + age scheduling, dimensional change tracking.
- Material traceability
- Mill certs, heat-lot tracking, PMI/XRF alloy verification if your customers ask for it. AMS and ASTM compliance tracked by job.
- Certifications
- AS9100 or NADCAP opens aerospace. ISO 13485 opens medical. ITAR opens defense. ISO 9001 is enough for most industrial.
- Finishing partners or in-house
- Passivation, electropolish, plating, and anodizing partners you already use. Shot peening for fatigue-critical parts a plus.
What you get
What a superalloy partner gets
Jobs priced like specialty work
Realistic lead times (4–8 weeks) and material-cost pass-through built into how we present the RFQ to the buyer.
Free to join; no fees
No subscription, no per-RFQ fee, no commission on your price.
Material covered up front
The customer pays us before you cut, so you do not front long-lead superalloy stock.
You see the full spec
Alloy, condition, cert requirements, heat treat spec, inspection plan — not a stripped-down lead form.
Keep your own customers
The RFQs we route are from new buyers, not from your existing accounts.
DFM credit
If you review Inconel designs for cost-driver tweaks (feature consolidation, chamfer vs radius, machining fixturing), flag DFM review on your profile.
