The problem we solve
Stop chasing shops. Start building.
Sourcing the old way
- Fragmented outreach across dozens of shops
- No idea who has capacity or the right machines
- Slow, inconsistent quote cycles
- No idea whether the price you get is fair
- Weeks lost chasing shops instead of building
With OpenSpindle
- One structured upload, routed to the right shops
- Matched to shops with the machines and materials
- Your best competitive quote, sourced from our network
- One all-in price, shipping detailed to your timeline
- A clear quote, usually within 24 to 48 hours
The process
From a file to finished parts
OpenSpindle bridges the gap between your design and the shops that build it, so you can focus on the result.
Upload and specify
Upload your CAD files or drawings (STEP, DXF, DWG, PDF) and note the material, tolerances, finish, and quantity. No CAD yet? Describe the part or send a sketch and a shop can quote from that. It takes a couple of minutes.
We source your quote
We tap our network and route your part to qualified shops set up for the exact process and material it needs, from CNC machining to sheet metal to finishing, then bring you the best competitive quote, usually within 24 to 48 hours.
Review and produce
Review your all-in quote, ask any questions, and give the go-ahead. We detail shipping and production based on your turnaround needs, then move your project into production.

Get a faster quote
What to include when you upload
The more a shop knows up front, the faster and more accurate the quote. Send a drawing or model, plus these four.
Material and grade
The alloy or plastic and its grade, like 6061 aluminum or 304 stainless. It drives price and which shops fit.
Tolerances
Call out the critical dimensions and how tight they need to be. Looser default tolerances quote faster and cheaper.
Quantity
One prototype or a production run. Quantity changes the process, the price per part, and which shops respond.
Finish
Bare, anodized, powder coated, plated, or passivated. Finishing is a secondary op, so name it up front.
